Chandler is a visual artist and designer based in Houston, by way of Charlotte, North Carolina. Trained in graphic design at Meredith College with minors in photography and studio art, she makes work where polish meets personality, and she believes art is one of the most honest ways a community tells its story.
That belief carried her from teaching artist and exhibition curator in Charlotte to public art in Houston, where she led HueMan:Shelter, a Bloomberg Philanthropies funded initiative that brought nine installations to life across Midtown. She has run Darè Designs since 2017, and her work has been featured by the Charlotte Observer, WCNC, and Meredith College Magazine.
Today, Chandler works at Midtown Houston, turning big ideas for the neighborhood into real, lived in places, and she serves on the board of the Houston Center for Photography. Away from work, you’ll find her in the garden, digging through vinyl, or behind a film camera.
